Politico - Nikki Finke, the blogger whose name is synonymous with Hollywood scoops and gossip, has finally parted ways with Deadline.com after a year of feuding with the site's owner, Jay Penske. "Jay Penske has just told me I am free to leave. He tried to buy my silence. No sale," Finke tweeted on Tuesday. "Despite attempts by all to have it go otherwise, Nikki Finke will no longer be leading Deadline Hollywood, and she will not be writing weekend box office or filing stories going forward," a post published on the Deadline site reads. Finke has indicated that she plans to set up a new site similar to Deadline where she will continue to cover the film and entertainment industries. "I'll announce shortly where I'm going to set up NikkiFinke.com and what will be the new showbiz news feed," she wrote on Twitter.
